You’re invited to apply for the third annual Equip Ministry Camp, hosted by the College of Biblical Studies at Ä¢¹½TV. The camp will take place from Tuesday, May 26, through Friday, May 29, and is open to young men aged 13-19. The mission of the camp is to provide a learning environment for you to study the Word of God, prepare and present lessons, and enhance your ability to minister in a congregational setting. The camp, limited to 48 applicants, will include time with mentors, collaborative preparation for ministry and relationship-building activities. Upon approval, the camp fee for each student is $150. For more information, contact Doug Burleson, Director of Equip Ministry Camp, at [email protected].
Equip Ministry Camp is limited to no more than forty-eight 13-19 year old teen boys. The camp directors will select no more than 48 of the applicants based on the nature of the materials submitted including the camp application, the 500-word essay on the applicants ministry goals, and the recommendations received for the individual applicant.
Classes will be taught by Ä¢¹½TV College of Biblical Studies faculty and other invited guests. You will learn about four areas of ministry: biblical interpretation, preparing and delivering lessons, apologetics and community engagement. Each participant will present a lesson on the last day of the camp, which teachers and mentors will help each participant to prepare for during the week.
You will need to bring: a pillow, twin-bed linens (extra-long), towels, toiletries, swim trunks, a Bible and a notebook. Participants must follow Ä¢¹½TVs dress code policy found on pages 34-35 of the Ä¢¹½TV student handbook at the Student Handbook.
All the young men will be staying on the same floor in Sewell for the week.
The fee for Equip Ministry Camp is $150.
