ĢTV Alumni and Friends Add Western US, Alpine Europe and Alaska to Slate of Travel Opportunities

Henderson, Tennessee – (Sept. 18, 2025) – Alumni and friends of ĢTV are invited to join its expanding travel program with three new upcoming trips: Painted Canyons of the West (Sept. 27–Oct. 5, 2026), Explore Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria (May 5–13, 2027) and Alaska Discovery (late summer 2027).

Chris Ramey, director of alumni engagement, will serve as group leader for all three tours. “Travel has an incredible way of bringing people together, and these journeys give our alumni and friends a chance to build new memories while experiencing some of the world’s most remarkable places,” Ramey said. “Whether standing among the red rocks of Utah, exploring the Alpine charm of Europe or taking in the beauty of Alaska, these trips are about fellowship, discovery and the shared joy of adventure.”

Operated in partnership with Collette travel, each tour combines guided exploration with unique cultural experiences.

Painted Canyons of the West invites travelers to trek across the Southwest United States as they take in the sienna-colored canyons, towering spires and desert landscapes found in Utah’s five national parks: Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon and Zion. This nine-day tour offers opportunities to meet the owners of a family-owned vineyard in Grand Junction and climb aboard Zion’s open-air tram to learn from an expert guide about the history of local Native Americans.

For those seeking a European adventure, Explore Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria promises a spectacular journey through the mountain scenery and picturesque cities of the Alpine region. Highlights of this nine-day tour include alphorn and yodeling demonstrations, a Tyrolean folklore show, a traditional fondue lunch, and visits to historic cities such as Bern, Lucerne, Innsbruck and Salzburg. Travelers will also experience beautiful sights like Mirabell Gardens, Linderhof Palace and much more.

Full details about Alaska Discovery will be available in 2026.
