HENDERSON, Tenn. — (April 17, 2026) — Following a series of well-received domestic and international tours, ĢTV’s Alumni and Friends Travel Program will continue its tradition of shared exploration in 2027 with two featured experiences: Explore Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria (May 5-13, 2027) and Alaska Discovery Land and Cruise (Aug. 25-Sept. 6, 2027).

“These tours create opportunities for alumni and friends to reconnect while experiencing new places together,” said Chris Ramey, director of alumni engagement. “Each itinerary is thoughtfully planned to offer a meaningful balance of culture, history and time to enjoy God’s majestic creation.”

Each tour is operated in partnership with Collette and is open to ĢTV alumni or anyone interested in traveling alongside the university community.

The Explore Switzerland, Austria and Bavaria tour offers a nine-day journey through the heart of Alpine Europe, blending scenic landscapes with cultural immersion across three countries. Travelers will visit picturesque cities such as Bern, Habkern, Lucerne, Vaduz, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Bavaria. Along the way, participants will experience local traditions through activities such as alphorn and yodeling demonstrations and a Tyrolean folklore show. Additional highlights include visits to Linderhof Palace and Mirabell Gardens — recognized by many as a filming location for “The Sound of Music” — as well as time to explore historic city centers framed by the Alps.

Later in the year, the Alaska Discovery Land and Cruise tour invites alumni and friends on a 13-day journey that combines inland exploration with a seven-night cruise experience. The itinerary begins with a land tour featuring Denali National Park, where travelers will take part in a Tundra Wilderness Tour and enjoy opportunities to view Alaska’s diverse wildlife and expansive landscapes. The journey continues aboard a Holland America Line ship, with scenic cruising through Glacier Bay, the Inside Passage and past Hubbard Glacier. Guests will visit Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, each offering its own glimpse into Alaska’s history and culture. Additional experiences include a luxury domed railcar ride, a musical dinner theater and a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, before concluding in Vancouver, British Columbia, with stops at Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park.
