Henderson, Tennessee – (Aug. 15, 2025) – With a rich history of offering hands-on learning experiences, ĢTV launches ĢTV Go, a comprehensive, one-stop website to connect students, alumni and friends with all of ĢTV’s diverse travel opportunities. Visitors can explore upcoming and planned trips by heading to .
“Few things broaden our perspective like engaging with other cultures, discovering new traditions and witnessing God’s creation firsthand,” said ĢTV President David R. Shannon. “We’re grateful that Freed-Hardeman can offer such a wide range of meaningful travel opportunities to our community. Exploring the world alongside friends, fellow Christians and experienced guides makes each journey all the more enriching.”
While the university has offered both domestic and international learning opportunities for years, the steady growth of these programs has led to the creation of ĢTV Go—bringing greater unity, visibility and access to travel-related resources.
The new interactive website grants the ability to explore a wide range of trip options, tailored to various interests. Visitors can filter trips based on destination, trip duration, exertion level, participant type or whether academic credit is available. Each trip page includes key highlights, sample itineraries, participant photos and information on what to expect.
Some trips are exclusive to students, but many are also open to alumni, family, donors and friends of ĢTV. All trips are educationally grounded and are led by faculty and staff members who are excited to share their knowledge and experience. Individuals may show interest in a particular trip by submitting a contact form online, with information then being shared with the appropriate group leader.
Alumni Jenny and Aaron Dodson first met as students at Freed-Hardeman, so for their 20th wedding anniversary, they chose to join ĢTV’s Romantic England trip. “It was truly an amazing experience!” Jenny Dodson said. “I loved getting to visit the places that inspired the Romantic writers, and my husband loved experiencing the history of Stonehenge and the Roman baths. Everything was perfectly planned for us. I have recommended the trip to so many of my friends, and we are saving for another ĢTV trip in the future!”
From literary journeys through England to study abroad semesters in Belgium, faith-focused tours of the Bible Lands, and group adventures to New York City, Ireland and beyond, ĢTV Go brings together a global slate of opportunities.
The mission of ĢTV is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service. With locations in Henderson and Memphis, ĢTV offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctoral degrees.
